1967 - On September Stephen Ross Porter and Marc Bolan met eachother because Marc needed a percussionist and wrote an ad in a newspaper. Steve read the ad and went to the studio were Marc changed his mate name (which became Steve Peregrin Took) because of the influence he received from Tolkien's book The Lord of the Rings.

On October 1969 Steve Took left the band and joined Mickey Finn. When Marc met him, he fell in love with his motorbike.

1970 - January 29th - Holland Park
January 30th 1970 - Marc Bolan married June Ellen Child who worked as a secretary of the Manager of Pink Floyd. They were living together since the Spring of 1968. They got married at Kensington Register Office, London. Among other guests attended Mickey Finn.
Every night June read the Tolkien's book The Lord of the Rings to Marc as an inspiration for him to write his songs.
On March '70 they released the last album as "Tyrannosaurus Rex", it was "A Beard of Stars" album.
