Marc and Mickey in December 1970 when they released their first album as T-Rex called T-Rex.
During all these years the band grew up ver fast and soon they had hits, so they urged from a proper bassist. Steve Currie joined T-Rex as the bass guitarist in November 1970, and made his debut at a concert in the Civic Hall, Guildford, Surrey on Tuesday 24th November of the same year. Steve became very close-friend to Marc.

1971 - March - During a Performance in Little Venice, Maida Vale, London, near Marc's flat.
1971 - June 7th - T-Rex with the classic line-up: Marc Bolan (voice and guitar), Mickey Finn (bongos), Steve Currie (bass) and Bill Legend (drums) ready to hit the world with the Glam Rock at Top of the Pops.
The Weeley Festival took place on August 28 and 29 1971 in Clacton, England were the main band was T-Rex but also played Faces, King Crimson, Juicy Lucy, Mott the Hoople, Lindisfarne and Mongo Jerry. Pix from August 29.

1972 - February 10 - Marc Bolan, lead singer with T Rex, outside Hatchett's in London after winning the Disc and Music Echo Award for Best Group. With him is his wife, artist June.

1973 - On July 1st American soul singer Gloria Jones joined T-Rex as a keyboardist and backing vocalist becoming romantically involved with Marc Bolan, who splitted up with his wife June on October of the same year.
Gloria also helped sway him into a more soul/dance-oriented direction.
